Craft Wizards

March is National Craft Month. But ask any parent, and they'll say that most kids don't need a special month to get creative. But do children need ways to harness their creativity? Yes. Enter the Family Craft Day at the Lakeport Library in Lakeport. On March 9 at 2 p.m. participants will make side-sewn books, with age-appropriate versions of the project available for kids and adults. Meanwhile, on March 16 at 10 a.m., the Creativity Club, which meets every third Saturday, will use the library's subscription to Creativebug.com to make stuff. The library's other crafty offerings include a Fabric Club that meets on the first Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. and the Yarn Wizards Club, which meets on the second Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. Ages 12 and up may attend any of these clubs; small children may come with parents. Call 263-8817 for more information.
