Searching for a place to celebrate Easter? Look no further. These local spots promise fun galore.

Lake County
Hidden Valley Lake At this hunt at Hartmann Ballfield, early birds get the worm--their mugs shot with the Easter Bunny. Come at 9 a.m. for the photos; the hunt starts at 10 a.m. sharp.

Lakeport Enjoy Easter-morning merriment at the Rotary Club of Lakeport egg hunt, which will be held on April 1 at 11 a.m. at the Lake County Fairgrounds.

Middletown The free Easter Eggstravaganza at the Twin Pine Casino and Hotel is not a hunt, but it does have plenty of spring cheer, including photos with the Easter Bunny, gratis baskets, bouncy houses, and other kids' activities. The event goes on 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Learn more at twinpine.com.

Mendocino County
Hopland Campovida will be opening its gardens on March 31 for its annual egg hunt. Don't expect candy, just fresh hard-boiled eggs and time in nature. The hunt, which starts promptly at 10:30 a.m., is $5 per child. Bring your own baskets. See campovida.com for more information.

Ukiah Kids ages 12 and under are welcome to McGarvey Park (corner of Dora and Clay) on March 24 at 10 a.m. for an egg hunt sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church of Ukiah. It's free and goes on rain or shine. Go to pcukiah.org for details.

Willits Calvary Chapel Willits will hide a whopping 10,000 eggs for its Eggstravaganza on March 31, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Willits High School football field. There will be face- and egg-painting, games, prizes, and food, too.
