Species Search

Citizen scientists collect data about the natural world. The Hopland Research and Extension Center in Hopland is looking for youth who'd like to take on the role. The center's NatureFest Bioblitz is an opportunity for kids and adults to join together to gather information about local species and share it, via the iNaturalist app, with scientists and naturalists around the world. The event will be held on April 27, 10 a.m.-noon. Admission is $10 for adults and $3 for children ages 16 and younger. Register at hrec.ucanr.edu.
