On hot summer days the easiest way to get kids from grumpy to grinning is a trip to a pool. Swimming and playing around in the water are not only terrific forms of entertainment, they're also great exercise. So pile on the waterproof sunscreen, keep the water bottles close at hand (stay hydrated!), and get ready to make some waves.
