The Heart of Music

The 45-year career of John Prine has solidly ensconced him in the realm of iconic folk singer/songwriters. See the master perform at the 22nd Annual Kate Wolf Music Festival, where he'll join headliners Bruce Cockburn and Brandi Carlile as well as a whole host of top-notch acts, including Baka Beyond and Dar Williams. Besides concerts, the festival will offer classes in tai chi and yoga as well as the chance to sing in a community choir. There will even be a KidZone with arts and crafts activities and special concerts for the wee ones. The event will be held June 22-25 at Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville. Tickets are $40-$300 and may be purchased at katewolfmusicfestival.com, where you may also see videos of featured artists.
